Best Protein Power Bites (kid friendly!)

recipes

I doubt this is an original recipe, because it’s not that complicated so I can almost guarantee someone else came up with it before me, but as far as I know, it’s mine :)

My girls are active, our whole family is. We like to exercise, play soccer, dance, hike, and be on the go, so I love snacks that provide protein for the whole family - because no ones’ got time to make special snacks for each individual and I’m no short-order cook.

This recipe is SO versatile. If you don’t like coconut, take it out! Add chocolate chips or raisins if you want, swap almond butter for peanut butter (or cashew butter if you’re feeling crazy), use chocolate protein powder if thats what you have. You can make these dairy free as well by using plant-based protein powders instead of whey proteins.

It takes 1 bowl, about 5-10 minutes and then you store these in a air-tight jar in the fridge and you’re set.

Best Protein Power Balls (video below)

1 Cup fresh almond butter (I’m sure you can use the jarred, I just always buy the fresh pressed from our local grocer so there’s no additives and we looooove the taste and texture).

1/2 cup honey

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

2 scoops Orgain Vanilla protein powder (you can use chocolate too)

3/4 cup uncooked rolled oats

1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes

Let me know what you tried/changed or added - I’d love to try your renditions too!
